About Bac Giang province : Bac Giang Province is located to the Northeast of Vietnam, the provincial capital city is 50km northeast of Hanoi. The terrain of Bac Giang is higher to the east and lower to the west. Tho Ha Ancient Village : The village is among the best one in Vietnam which preserves traditional architectures which are typical of villages in the North. Once back in time, the villagers specialized in making ceramic wares. They have changed to making noodles nowadays.Visiting Tho Ha Village, you can find out about their amazing occupation now as well as learning about their past. Several houses in the village are built with ceramic made by the villagers decades ago.

The village is by the Nhu Nguyet River and walking in the tiny village paths, you’ll find back the atmosphere of villages in northern Vietnam back in time. The village gate and traditional communal house are the best places for great photographs.Tho Ha can be visited on a half a day tour from Hanoi. Dong Cao Prairie : The prairie is in Thach Son Commune, Son Dong District, 140km northeast of Hanoi. The site has cool climate all the year and the landscape includes huge pastures on conical-shape hills which offer sensational photo opportunities at sunrise and sunset. A trip to Dong Cao involves a hike for 6km on a mountainous path which is quite slippery when it is wet. The accommodation for the night is either homestay at a local ethnic family or in a tent that you have to bring yourself.

Khe Ro Forest : Khe Ro Forest is 15km southeast of Dong Cao Prairie and 150km northeast of Hanoi. The site includes primeval forest, ethnic villages, idyllic streams and scenic mountain views. Visiting Khe Ro, you can go hiking to the top of the Khau Tron Mountain for panoramic views of the surrounding, visit ethnic villages or just relax in the fresh nature. Accommodation is at local families with simple facilities.

Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve : This is a complex of pagodas on western mountain slope of the Yen Tu Mountain Range which is right on the border with Quang Ninh Province. The eastern slope of the mountain is the famed Yen Tu Pagoda in Quang Ninh.The forest at Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve is a stretch to the southwest of Khe Ro Primeval Forest.

The Cam Son lake : The 2,650 hectares with the length of 30km and width of up to 7km. The lake on the altitude of 300m is surrounded by mountains and there are Tay and Nung ethnic villages by the lake sides.

Xuong Giang Battle Memorial : The site is to commemorate two major battles in the 15th century in September and November 1427 by the later King Le Loi of Vietnam against the Ming Dynasty’ troops (China). Some 70,000 Chinese troops were killed in these battles and Vietnam was liberated from the Ming Dynasty.

The site is in Xuong Giang Ward of Bac Giang City, 50km from Hanoi. Xuong Giang should be visited in combination with the Chi Lang Passage in Lang Son. These sites are good places for learning about the Vietnamese history and should be of interest to historian and history researchers.

Hoang Hoa Tham and Yen The Revolt Memorial (1884-1913) : This site is of interest to those who want to learn about the Vietnamese history and the Vietnamese revolts against the French rule of the country. The Yen The Revolt was led by Hoang Hoa Tham which lasted for almost 30 years. The site is 80km from Hanoi.

Then Village (Thai Dao Commune, Lang Giang District) : The villagers of the Then Village is 70km northeast of Hanoi. The villagers are violin players. On your visit to the village, you will be treated with lyrical Vietnamese music or Western pieces performed by men and kids in the village.
